    Your pack is delivered digitally and includes:

    • PowerPoint slides

    • a Q&A Booklet for the host

    • a separate answer sheet for marking

    • an answer booklet template to print for teams to write answers in

    • a marketing poster template for you to use at your establishment

  • Aside from our comprehensive pack, you’ll need some basic equipment to host a trivia night.

    • Microphone + speakers

    • A laptop connected to TV screen or projector to display questions

    • A trivia host! (We recommend an extroverted staff member or friend of the bar to do the honours). See our Host Manual here.

  • Spend a few weeks creating a buzz so you get a great turn out for the first night. You want to create a ritual where teams come back week after week.

    Word-of-mouth goes a long way, but you can also create a Facebook Event and invite all your followers.

    We’d advise to put up posters around your establishment, so that loyal customers know when to come. We include a poster template in your Trivia pack.

  • Trivia is a great way to make a quiet night at the bar not-so-quiet. It is free to play for attendees, but they will dine and drink and are known to stay about 3 hours. So be prepared to bring on an extra staff member or two to accommodate this.

    Trivia goers are usually aged 20–50, with particular popularity among the 30-somethings. Teams are usually 3–8 people, so make sure your space accommodates this.

  • It is important to include prizes for the best-performing teams. You can choose what prize is most appropriate for your establishment, but keep it simple.

    We find one of the best ways to funnel people’s attention back to you is:

    • 1st place: $50–$75 bar voucher

    • 2nd place: $30 bar voucher

    • Last Person Standing winner: $20 bar voucher

    • Merch is also a fantastic spot prize!

    • Bonus Points on the night or for the following week works well too
